SOLO JAZZ WORKSHOP - PENCIL FULL OF LEAD ROUTINE

In this workshop we will teach the beautiful routine created by Simone Brown.

This is a beginner friendly favourite that we tend to do at most socials, so you’ll be using it out in the wild regularly.

Even if you’ve done it before, there is always more to work on with solo jazz!

£10 a head, no need to book ahead. Early start at 10am then we head to Hobson’s Cafe for a brew after!

Solo Jazz Workshop (Tranky Doo) and Social

Join us for two hours of solo jazz workshop, followed by an hour of social dancing.

Check out the history of the Tranky Doo routine here -https://swungover.wordpress.com/2017/09/25/the-mysterious-history-of-the-tranky-doo/

This is a fun but tricky routine, which is suitable for enthusiastic people who want to be stretched. Experience with at least one of the beginner strolls (Shim Sham, Jitterbug Stroll, Sing Lin Charleston Stroll or the Pencil Full of Lead Charleston Stroll) is heartily recommended.

We will also have some social time with a DJ’s set list from 3-4pm.

Tickets will be available on the door for £15 for the whole afternoon, or £5 just for the social.
